Sunday 6 October 2024 – Cycle ride – bring your own bikes etc., and meet ready for 2pm departure at Bodmin Borough Arms annex car park; the likely route is along Camel Trail to Wadebridge and back. Free entry. Cardinham sports club is keen to encourage everyone to get out and get some exercise , and one of those ways is through cycling. So why not come along? But please note the following:
Participation in the
cycle ride is
at your own risk; riders are responsible for their own safety. In light of this, there is no charge for participation, but the Club reserves the right to refuse participation. We encourage all riders to wear
helmets, and all bikes (and their riders!) must be
roadworthy and safe. Please bring your mobile phone. Children must be accompanied at all times by their parent or designated carer, and we’ll be asking every rider to complete a consent/waiver form prior to departure, and give contact details of a person to be informed in the event a rider has an accident, as well as contact details of each rider (in case riders get separated).
It would help a lot if those likely to join the ride let us know in advance, with the
mobile number of each rider and the
emergency contact number of the person to be informed if needed; rest assured, this information will ONLY be used for this ride and will be destroyed straight after. By emailing us in advance, you also help us estimate numbers and we can let you know quickly in the event there is any change in the date/timing/route of the ride – so
pls contact the club if you are thinking of joining for the cycle ride.

On Sunday 15 May 2022, a group of friends (including members) went on a cycle ride from Pentewan to Wheal Martyn. This route follows the old railway track, and is rated as ‘easy’ (see www.claytrails.co.uk/pentewan-valley-trail )
