It was a brilliant skittles evening on Saturday 14 October 2023, this time at the lovely skittles alley at the London Inn, St Neot. Twenty players battled it out over four rounds, with Luke just beating Dave in a tiebreaker.
There then followed a game of killer, two lives each, and to the surprise of many, including the man himself, it was Rob who won.
A big thanks to everyone involved in making the evening such a success, not least our scorer Steve. And thanks also go to the London Inn who made us so welcome.

Previously…
Saturday 20 May 2023: Thirteen players came to the skittles evening held at the Jubilee Hall in Mount, with five rounds played. The winner was Dave on 42 points, with Lance in second place on 37, closely followed by Chris and Steve sharing third place on 36. This was followed by a quick ‘killer’ game, two lives each, with Lance the worthy winner.
Thanks to all who came; after hall hire was paid, our profit was £31, and this has been paid into club funds.
Saturday 8 October 2022: Fifteen players battled it out in our skittles tournament, with Steve in his first turn making strikes (all pins downed) with each of the three balls bowled, starting him off with an impressive 27 points. By the end of the fourth round, Steve was equalled by Andy, and it was a tense moment in the last round after Andy had knocked seven pins down… Steve knocked down eight, winning the main tournament.
There then followed an enjoyable game of ‘killer’, each player starting with three lives – and in this game too, Andy and Steve were battling it out to the last, but on this occasion it was Andy who won first place.
Thanks to all who came – after hall hire was paid, our profit was £40, and this has been paid into club funds
Saturday 7 May 2022: There were 18 of us battling it out at this new venue, the Jubilee Hall in Mount. Claire was the winner, with after a tie-break for second and third places, Sam won second place and Bernie won third place. In the ‘killer’ contest afterwards, Steve came out a clear winner. Many thanks to all those who supported us at this event.
Saturday 12 October 2019: It was a lovely relaxed evening at the SWEB Club in Bodmin, as more than a dozen of us participated in the skittles tournament.
Congratulations to Sophie from Bournemouth (previously a resident of Mount) for winning the main competition; and to Steve for winning Killer competition at the end.
