Play tennis

Cardinham Sports Club has its own outdoor tennis court in the village of Cardinham, near Bodmin  – see directions.  It also runs a range of other activities, with skittles, pickleball, croquet, and so on  – see our upcoming events.

All are welcome, from within the parish or from outside, to any of our events and to use our tennis court.

Want to join other players in a game?

Get in touch, and if you like we can put you in touch with various groups who regularly play and will make you welcome:

  • Skilled group, tend to play evenings approx 6pm – 8pm, twice a week (weekdays)
  • Moderate group, tend to play mornings, 10am, twice a week (weekdays)
  • Social tennis group, mixed ability, open to all members, continuous game with players rotating to ensure all play, Wednesday evenings, starts 6 pm. Non members are also welcome to attend just to try it out.

Note that all children attending Cardinham School enjoy access to the court, not only for activities organised by the school, but also, for a payment of £5 a year, outside of school.  Must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, and a consent form must be signed when payment is made. 

We take safeguarding seriously. Note that no child below the age of 13 is allowed on club premises unless they are supervised throughout either by a parent/carer or by a trusted and responsible person over the age of 18 known personally both to the parent/carer and the child.
